Dragons Beard candy.

Dragons beard candy for the first time I got to see how this candy is made. I have only heard of it before now. It's basically pulled sugar inverted or not is it's cool to be watching how it's made. Some variation of sugar syrup. Where the strands of sugar start out large and each and every time you pull them you exponentially make the candy smaller but longer. If you start out with eight rather large strands or say 16 and pulled them you would get 32 strands and then 64 strands and then 128 strands and then 256 strands and then 512 strands and then 1024 strands and then 2048 strands and then 4096 strands and then 8192 strands and then 16,384 strands. And this is where they stopped by the time they got this thin each strain was around 50 to 60 microns the human hair is around 45 microns. Although they dragons beard strands they had in the demonstration look a lot smaller than in human hair. We see this doubling this math elsewhere in the computer world which shows its importance. I still have a 256 MB SD card I remember when 8 MB was a lot I remember when 512 MB of RAM was a lot. I remember when I wouldn't buy an external hard drive that was less than 1024 GB. Now I won't buy a hard drive that is less than 3 TB. The methods interesting to see in both the computer world and the culinary world something as simple as dragging beard candy or something as complex as how computers work that math is interesting to me.
